Τhe 8th International Conference on Building Resilience (ICBR) is running an international design contest: the Building 4Humanity Resilient Design Competition, which welcomes applications from interdisciplinary teams composed of professionals or students. More information can be found in the attached flyer and on the Resilient Design Competition‘s website (accessible through the 8th ICBR’s website).
It would be a pleasure for us to receive submissions from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki!
Besides prize money for the three best architectural submissions in each category, the Competition offers exhibition and publication opportunities for all shortlisted projects. We would highly appreciate your contribution to this exciting contest by spreading the word with all your colleagues who may be interested in showcasing their innovative ideas for a resilient building or settlement project. There are also two categories targeted professional teams.
We would also like to invite your institution to become an associate partner of the Competition and thus benefit inter alia from:
– reduced fees for a pack of submissions (five submissions coming together from the same school are entitled to a 20% discount);
– the possibility to nominate an experienced staff member as a juror for the evaluation of the proposals.
Please note that by registering early (until 20 September) design teams benefit from a special reduction in the participation fee (early-bird fee). In order to benefit from this discount, they should complete the online registration form as soon as possible. After this, the teams will still have a few more days to proceed to payment and to send us (by email) the registration file (the pdf file mentioned on the Competition’s website under “Submission instructions”).
Should you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to your involvement and valuable support!
With kind regards,
Director: Nuno Martins (chair of the 8th ICBR – International Conference on Building Resilience)
Executive managers: Liliane Hobeica and Adib Hobeica (members of the Organizing Committee of the 8th ICBR)
